Picture Book Illustration for Beginners
Learn how a picture book is made, starting with a written story through the publishing stage. This workshop is suitable for beginners who would like to learn visual storytelling. It runs through story boarding, character development and producing quality illustrations.
Nature Illustration
Learn how to see nature again. In this beginner workshop we will surround ourselves with greenery to learn skills to observe and depict nature themes. You will arrange your own composition from the various plants provided and learn techniques for drawing and painting it. We will also take a garden tour to learn how to sketch outdoors.
The Science of Colour
Everyone knows the colour wheel, but did you ever wonder what colour truly is? Why is it that purple can be used as a shadow? Why do we associate yellow with light? In this workshop for intermediate and advance artists, we explore light theory, physics and even neurology to understand what makes something aesthetically pleasing.
Botany for the Artist
What is a plant? Learn to tune in your observational skills and explore the diversity and structure of plants, how they came to be and what characteristics make them unique.
