“The Bone Ranger”
COMING SOON
This book has been a wonderful challenge for me as I first needed to get fully acquainted with horse anatomy, which is something I hadn’t thought about since studying Zoology at University.
The characters on this book were really fun and the action scenes were particularly nice to draw.
It is a book that kids will love to go back to time and time again.

“The Leftover Lemon Dilemma”
When Mandy finds herself with an abundance of sour lemons, she discovers a way to turn them into something sweet – with a little help from her neighbours.
When I first read the manuscript for this book, I felt like it encompassed everything that I loved drawing most: children interacting with nature, fruits, delicious food and a big celebration at the end.
I really enjoyed developing each of the characters, thinking about how they got there, what they valued and how they lived. As an immigrant myself, it was very important to me that they each had their own unique story, that they valued some aspects of their original culture, but that they also demonstrated a new way of living and interacting with people that were different from themselves. Through adding small details to their surroundings, I was able to create rich stories that could be further developed in a child’s mind.
